Join us as Leslie Barrymore Lockett, a theatre creator par excellence, and his sidekick Owen Blunt – blunt by name, blunter by nature – plunder Australian history with the use of a sophisticated theatrical device known as ‘space jump’ (“fear not for it’s only the magic of theatre”) to answer that perennial and urgent question, ‘What does it mean to be Australian?’
Celebrate our sporting icons, take your very own immigration test and relive the Eureka Stockade … in rap. Gather your friends and celebrate what it means to be Australian with this deliciously silly, larrikin romp from Australia’s leading regional theatre company.

CCEntertainment present Whole Lotta Love: A Celebration of Led Zeppelin
CCEntertainment return with their final show for 2010, Whole Lotta Love a celebration of Led Zeppelin - the band that helped define rock and roll, influenced generations of musicians and legions of fans, yet toured Australia only once in 1972. This world class homage concert passionately reinterprets some of the finest songs ever recorded, including Black Dog, Rock and Roll, Immigrant Song, Battle Of Evermore, Kashmir, the timeless Stairway To Heaven and Whole Lotta Love. A collection of superb guest vocalists, including Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets), John Swan (Swanee), Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Simon Meli (The Widowbirds), Ngaiire (ex Blue King Brown) and Zkye, will join a powerhouse 12 piece band (with the ‘Sydney Lyric Strings’) under the creative direction of Joseph Calderazzo to bring it on home for the fourth year at Laycock St. Be quick – guaranteed to sell out!

Roy Orbison was there from the start. From his first hit Ooby Dooby, to Pretty Woman and through to the Travelling Wilbury's. Remembering the Carpenters - Lisa Budin
Lisa Budin is a Canadian born singer and has always admired the great Karen and Richard Carpenter. Lisa will take you on a memorable journey from the 70's, with a voice rich and pitch perfect, you will think Karen is in the same room. Together with her 7 piece band that includes Mr John Martin/Piano Mr Joseph Macri/synthesizer, Mr Nigel Hanley/guitar, Mr John Coker/bass, Mr Craig Mitten /trumpet, Mr Craig Walters /saxophone, Mr Rodney Ford /drums. Lisa tells the story and life of this great group 'The Carpenters' and with her quick wit and great personality audiences will enjoy every minute with songs like Top Of The World, Close To You, Jambalya, Kind of Hush, Superstar and Solitare to name a few. Lisa has presented the show at the Sydney Opera House with standing ovations every time. Not to be missed.

Central Coast Concert Band
This September, the Central Coast Concert Band will be joined by The Southern Highlands Concert Band totalling an impressive 60 musicians on stage. Music will also include Dixie Medley with a traditional Dixieland band, Glenn Miller including Moonlight Serenade and a Rock Medley performed at the Royal Marines Band Mountbatten Festival, which was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London last year.

Sunwrae Trio present Primavera
The Sunwrae Trio, from Melbourne based chamber group Sunwrae Ensemble, perform Primavera. A feast for the eyes and ears, Primavera is a stunning musical experience of mind-bending textures, persuasive rhythms, spectacular improvisation and evocative interweaving melodies. Featuring original music by Rae Howell, including two new works inspired by a recent Music Residency in Brazil, the trio (Rae Howell: vibraphone; Luke Richardson: double bass; Emily Rosner: harp) produce an exquisite, rare and intimate performance of their instrumental music. Program highlights include Primavera, Sem Duvida, Decipher the Crooked Ways, Underneath, Catch Me If You Can and Chinook Winds.

Central Dance Company presents Swan Lake Act II
Central Dance Company reaches a milestone this October with its 21st Anniversary Gala. It’s featured traditional ballet Swan Lake Act II, with special guest artists, is a fitting tribute to the Company’s Premier Season of 1990. Stunning contemporary works will also compliment the program along with a special attraction of ten visiting dancers from Japan and the inaugural visit to Australia by the Classical Ballet Company of Copenhagen.

Laycock Sessions present Ladybelle Quartet
Ladybelle Quartet offer an urban debonair experience with modern groove. With ‘white chocolate vocals’ and an obvious love of the craft, Ladybelle has attracted significant interest from jazz audiences and aficionados. Bringing a vibrant, contemporary interpretation of original and standard jazz pieces, with a set that evokes the heyday of the great 1930s jazz clubs.

Menopause The Musical!
Brought to you from the original US creative team, Australia welcomes the international sensation and #1 Girls’ Night Out, Menopause The Musical®! Already seen it? Well you’ve never seen it like this! Now with new songs, more choreography and a refreshed look at ‘The Change’. Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale. They quickly bond and make fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. Woy Woy Little Theatre presents Spiders Web by Agatha Christie
Directed by Denise MainWhen Clarissa discovers a dead body in her home, she tries to dispose of it before her Foreign Office diplomat husband returns with a government VIP guest in tow. Equipped with an over active imagination, Clarissa finds real life murder too hard to handle! Having persuaded her houseguests to help her, it soon becomes apparent that the dead man was not unknown to everyone amongst them. As the web of deceit starts to unravel, Clarissa pulls her friends into a desperate race to unveil the murderer and solve the mystery.

Gosford Musical Society presents Anything Goes
A trip by sea aboard the ocean liner ‘SS American’ from London to New York is just the place for this amusing and memorable popular musical. Love struck stowaway, Billy Crocker has followed his crush, heiress, Hope Harcourt aboard. Unfortunately, hope is engaged to British Knight of the Realm, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh. Heralding love, laughs and wonderful musical toe tapping numbers including: DeLovely,You’re the Top, Let’s Misbehav’,‘Blow Gabriel Blow and of course the title tune Anything Goes. Anything Goes is synonymous with the works of musical genius Cole Porter. Audiences will “get a kick out of” the many favourite Porter tunes and the madcap antics of the shows crazy characters.

Laycock Sessions present Clarity
The 2010 Laycock Sessions conclude with an exciting blend of classical, contemporary and jazz, presented by a quartet of… clarinets. The name Clarity suggests both pun and mild irony as the ensemble works hard to blur the lines between music genres. Formed in 1996, Clarity has performed at international jazz festivals, rock concerts and in chambers. Their outstanding work showcases a cross section of compositional creativity and the many sonic capabilities of the clarinet family.
