What's Showing at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre

With its unique mix of award-winning films and breathtaking live performances, there's sure to be something exciting showing at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre throughout August and September!

The Reel Anime Festival is an exciting showcase of the very best feature length anime films, and is returning in September 2010 with it’s strongest line-up ever. This is your chance to see the future of anime on the big screen and enjoy the very best of settings in a cinema with fellow fans.
The festival will run from September 2-15 with limited screenings of each film. Visit the Avoca Beach Picture Theatre website or more information.

Calling all film-makers!

It’s that time of year again. The Theatre is now taking entries for their very own Coasties Film Festival. Last year there was an overwhelming response with loads of entries over 3 categories. This year there will be four (4) categories with even more chances to win a prize. Last year the Theatre gave over $9000 worth of prizes with our first prize of $2000 generously donated by Coast Star Motors.
This year the format has changed slightly to make it a bit easier on the judges. There will be two open categories; "Open under 10 mins" and "Open under 100 seconds", while there will also be two schools categories; "Primary schools under 5 mins" and "Secondary schools under 5 mins". Entries close on 24th September 2010. Entry forms can be found at the Theatre or downloaded from the website.
Please call Avoca Beach Picture Theatre on 4382 1777 or visit the website for more details.
